Register the real company
Apple Business Connect is a free Apple service for businesses to manage how their information appears across Apple Maps and other Apple surfaces. Start with an Apple Account controlled by the business and accurate company details.
Verification may be required before location and brand features become available.
Structure brands and locations
Map the company, brands and genuine locations before requesting access. Avoid creating locations that do not exist or presenting a remote service as a staffed storefront.
Use delegated partner access instead of transferring the owner’s login credentials.
Build a useful place card
Review the name, category, contact information, hours, website, logo, cover image, photos and supported customer actions. Assets should be current, legible and consistent with the owned website.
The place card is a customer surface, not a container for keyword repetition.
Maintain and measure
Assign responsibility for seasonal hours, closures, photos, action links and business changes. Review website traffic and customer actions where measurement is available.
Coordinate Apple updates with Google, Bing and the website so customers see the same business facts.
How this becomes a project
A useful next step is a short audit of your current pages, search footprint, proof and measurement. The output should identify the few constraints worth fixing before more content or media is added.
